The Elana® Anastomotic System builds on a proven technology platform originally developed for neurosurgery. AMT Medical has redesigned and optimized this innovation for the heart, creating a dedicated solution for coronary artery bypass surgery. The system is specifically designed for both open and minimally invasive procedures, without the need to stop the heart.

The procedure can be performed on a beating heart, avoiding the need for a heart-lung machine.
Over time, this may support the wider adoption of minimally invasive approaches such as MIDCAB (incision between the ribs) and TECAB (multiple small incisions using a robot).
